Caxton Legal Center is an independent, non-profit community organization providing free legal advice, social work services, assistance and referrals for the general public.

Their services are designed for people who cannot afford a solicitor, for people who just want initial advice, or for people who want a referral to a private solicitor. They can provide services in most areas of law except immigration, conveyance and some large commercial matters.

The Center receives government funding from the Commonwealth Attorney, General's Department, Department of Communities and Legal Aid Queensland.

Additional funding is raised through donations, membership fees, sale of publications and other fundraising activities.
