Eggleston Clifton-Jones and Co. commenced initially in 1873 as Cleverdon and Eggleston until in 1898 it become known as Eggleston and Eggleston. The partners at the time were John W Eggleston and his sons John B Eggleston and Frederick W Eggleston.

The firm then came to be called Eggleston, Eggleston and Lee when Palmer Lee joined in 1937 then Eggleston, Lee and Clifton-Jones and Adrian Clifton-Jones was admitted to partnership in 1955.

Upon Palmer Lee's retirement, in 1961, The practice was known as Eggleston Clifton-Jones and Co.

In 1971 Wayne Jonas joined the firm and became sole proprietor in 1981 on Adrian Clifton-Jones' retirement.

The present firm carries on this tradition of personalized service and skill.
