Brett Hartley established Hartley Family Law Services in 1998 due to his perception of a need for people experiencing the breakdown of their relationship, to have access to a firm where their matter would be handled with a high degree of privacy and specialist expertise.

Joe Healy entered into Partnership with Brett Hartley on 1 July 2005 and in September 2006 the firm changed its name to Hartley Healy.

Since this time, Brett and Joe have come closer to achieving their vision of being Queensland's most desirable Family Law Solicitors through the opening of two more offices throughout Queensland . Hartley Healy is now one of the largest Specialist Family Law firms in Australia. Hartley Healy has offices in Brisbane and also at Southport on the Gold Coast.
