Gells Lawyers was founded as a legal practice in 1965 by George Gell. George is now retired from practice. Paul Bailey and Michael Coffey, two of his former partners, are now the principals of the practice.

The practice commenced work mainly in the insurance industry and has acted for numerous Insurers since 1965. Since then it has evolved into a practice that has a strong commercial base servicing clients in many different industries. Specific expertise has been developed in general small business, commercial law, property, transport and insurance.
